જો તમે તમારું આધાર કાર્ડ દસ વર્ષ પહેલા બનાવ્યું છે, તો આ સમાચાર તમારા માટે છે. યુનિક આઈડેન્ટિફિકેશન ઓથોરિટી ઓફ ઈન્ડિયા (UIDAI) એ મંગળવારે એવા લોકોને વિનંતી કરી છે કે જેમણે 10 વર્ષ પહેલા આધાર કાર્ડ મેળવ્યું હતું અને તે પછી ક્યારેય અપડેટ કર્યું નથી, તેઓ તેમના દસ્તાવેજો અને વિગતો અપડેટ કરે. UIDAIએ એક નિવેદનમાં આ વાત કહી. આજકાલ આધાર એક આવશ્યક દસ્તાવેજ બની ગયો છે અને તેને ઘણા હેતુઓ માટે ફરજિયાત બનાવવામાં આવ્યો છે. એટલા માટે તમે પણ તમારું આધાર દસ વર્ષ પહેલા બનાવેલ છે અને જો તમે તેને અપડેટ ન કર્યું હોય, તો તરત જ અપડેટ કરાવો. આ સુવિધા ઘરે બેઠા પણ મેળવી શકાય છે.
UIDAIએ જણાવ્યું હતું કે, “જે વ્યક્તિઓએ પોતાનો આધાર દસ વર્ષ પહેલાં બનાવ્યો હતો અને ત્યારપછી આ વર્ષોમાં ક્યારેય અપડેટ થયો નથી, આવા આધાર નંબર ધારકોને દસ્તાવેજો અપડેટ કરાવવા વિનંતી કરવામાં આવે છે,” બોડીએ જણાવ્યું હતું. આધાર ધારકો નિર્ધારિત ફી સાથે અને આધાર ધારક આધાર ડેટામાં વ્યક્તિગત ઓળખના પુરાવા અને સરનામાના પુરાવા સંબંધિત દસ્તાવેજો અપડેટ કરી શકે છે. આ સુવિધા ઓનલાઈન પણ મેળવી શકાય છે.

શા માટે આ કરવું જરૂરી છે
આ દસ વર્ષ દરમિયાન, આધાર નંબર વ્યક્તિની ઓળખના પુરાવા તરીકે ઉભરી આવ્યો છે અને વિવિધ સરકારી યોજનાઓ અને સેવાઓનો લાભ લેવા માટે આધાર નંબરનો ઉપયોગ કરવામાં આવે છે, એમ નિવેદનમાં જણાવાયું છે. UIDAIએ કહ્યું કે આ યોજનાઓ અને સેવાઓનો લાભ લેવા માટે, લોકોએ આધાર ડેટાને નવીનતમ વ્યક્તિગત વિગતો સાથે અપડેટ રાખવો પડશે જેથી કરીને આધાર પ્રમાણીકરણ અને ચકાસણીમાં કોઈ અસુવિધા ન થાય.
UIDAI એ એક વૈધાનિક સત્તા છે, જેની સ્થાપના ભારત સરકાર દ્વારા આધાર અધિનિયમ, 2016 હેઠળ 12મી જુલાઈ, 2016ના રોજ કરવામાં આવી હતી. તેની સ્થાપના ભારતના તમામ રહેવાસીઓને ‘આધાર’ તરીકે ઓળખાતા અનન્ય ઓળખ નંબર (UID) જારી કરવાના ઉદ્દેશ્ય સાથે કરવામાં આવી હતી જેથી દ્વિ અને નકલી ઓળખને દૂર કરી શકાય.
